Remington College-Baton Rouge Campus held a fundraiser this month called Cuts for Cause as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Students in the Remington College cosmetology school offered $5 hair cuts with all the proceeds going to the Baton Rouge Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

A total of $340 was raised for the charity through Cuts for Cause.

“This was a great opportunity for our students to raise money for a worthy cause and save our customers some money at the same time,” said Mike Smith, Remington College-Baton Rouge Campus President.

The Remington College Cosmetology Program teaches students the art of hair, skin and nail care through traditional classroom instruction and hands-on training. Students have the opportunity to work with real clients in a salon-like setting.
