Dental Hygiene Program kicks off
“12 Months of Smiles”
Nashville, Tenn. – (December 21, 2010) – Remington College-Nashville Campus is offering people a way to get 2011 off to a healthy start.
The campus Dental Hygiene Program is offering 50% off teeth cleanings during the month of January. That means adults can get their teeth cleaned for $5; for children under 14 the cost is just $2.50. This will be the first of the monthly deals and events at the Dental Hygiene Program, called “12 Months of Smiles.”
“We want to reach out to families who don’t have dental insurance and encourage them to get a healthy start to 2011,” said Larry Collins, Remington College-Nashville Campus President. “One of the easiest and most effective ways to prevent tooth problems is to get regular cleanings, especially for children.”
Under the supervision of instructors, students pursuing associate’s degrees in dental hygiene perform low-cost procedures for the public, including:
- Oral prophylaxis (cleaning) and topical fluoride treatments
- X-rays
- Scaling and root planing
- ToothPrint child identification impressions
- Oral cancer screenings
- Dental Sealants
Initial patient registration is required, and costs just $1. Payments can be made by cash or credit card.
The Remington College Dental Hygiene Program is a 24-month, accredited program designed to prepare students for careers as dental hygienists.[i] Instructors have real world experience in the dental hygiene field and course offerings include Preclinical Dental Hygiene Practice, Oral and Dental Anatomy, Nutrition and Biochemistry and Oral Radiology.

Mondays: 10:30 am-1:30 pm and 2:00 pm-5:00 pm
Tuesdays: 9:30 am – 1:30 pm and 2:00 pm-5:00 pm
Wednesdays: 8:00 am-12:00 pm and 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Thursday: 9:00 am- 12:00 pm and 1:00 pm- 5:00 pm
